Word Study For Today: The Book of Leviticus 26:1-46.
Devotion: BUILD YOUR FAITH.
Text: Hebrews 11:1-40. | Romans 4:1-25. | Romans 10:17; Jude1-20.
Faith is a proof that what you anticipate will materialise without fail. Faith is the evidence of your heart’s focus. >“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”[Hebrews 11:1 NLT]. Faith is your confidence or trust in God. It is palpably your belief that is not based on proof. It’s your allegiance, your dependence, your credence, your conviction and assurance. This faith is not self manufactured, it has a source in God’s Word. The Word of God originates faith. By hearing God’s Word[particularly repeatedly] Faith comes into your heart, it is Word produced[God’s Word]. >Romans 10:17 (NKJV)==>“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
The Word of God is the sure undiluted, unpolluted source of Faith.
Abraham is named in scripture as the father of Faith, for He heard God’s Word and believed it. God’s Word will produce Faith… >1)“The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. 2)I will make you into a great nation. 3)I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” 4)So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed…”[Genesis 12:1-4a NLT].
His belief[Faith] in God, was accounted to him as righteousness. You also should be like and even a more than Abraham(the father of Faith). >“And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.”[Genesis 15:6 NLT].
Without faith it is absolutely impossible to please God. To this end the subject of faith is crucial. >“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”[Hebrews 11:6 NLT]. You can’t be God’s child(the righteous) without faith. Abraham has set a high standard which as children of his, we must meet and surpass. See His testimony in >Romans 4:18 NLT)==>“Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” God said it, Abraham believed it raw, hook, word and sinker.
Abraham’s Faith was such a level of Faith, we need to build even our own Faith. >“But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit,”[Jude 1:20 AMP].
There are levels of faith, which can and must be built on increasingly. Your increased level of faith will bring about your continual progress, it will facilitate your rising higher and higher more than watchtower buildings.
The Apostles said to Jesus in >Luke 17:5 (NLT)==>“The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”
Scripture says in >Isaiah 7:9 NLT)==>“Israel is no stronger than its capital, Samaria, and Samaria is no stronger than its king, Pekah son of Remaliah. Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”
Beloved, you’ve got to build your Faith. Except it is firm you can’t stand firm. Your manifestation is dependent on your faith and the level at which you exude it.
Your Faith[and it’s level] is visible; bible says >“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man, your sins are forgiven.”[Luke 5:20 NLT]. Jesus has the spectacle and the radar to see your Faith. Your Faith shows, at whatever level its expressed. How well you depend, rely, defer, trust, and believe in God is evident hence visible.
>“Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill the gaps in your faith.”[1 Thessalonians 3:10 NLT]. >“…we hope that your faith will grow so that the boundaries of our work among you will be extended.”[2 Corinthians 10:15b NLT].
Beloved of God, earnestly pray that the gaps in your faith will be filled, having your faith grow. >>> BUILD YOUR FAITH!
