Word Study For Today: Philippians 2:1-30 (MSG)

Devotion: GOD CAN, AND HE WILL

Texts: Isaiah 55:8-11 | Hebrews 10:19-23. | Numbers 23:19.

God is a faithful God, >)[to be faithful is to be true to one’s word or promise].

When we say ‘God Can, And He Will’; we are talking about the God Who backs integrity with capacity! We are talking about the God Who is dependable, reliable, trustworthy and ever true. The God we serve is not known to change nor alter HIS word. He sticks to whatsoever HE has promised.

>1 Corinthians 1:9 (AMP)==>“God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise– He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God Almighty keeps His Words. His Word or promise is bankable [HIS word is powerful, prestigious, and stable enough; God is never like a broken reed].

>1 Thessalonians 5:24(MSG)==>“The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!”

Beloved, God is completely, absolutely and unwaveringly dependable. Be rest assured that as long as you have His Word of assurance on any matter, you can take it to the bank- that Word will deliver!

If He said it, scripture says He will do just as He has said. HIS word will never return to HIM void but shall accomplish the purpose for which HE has sent.

>Isaiah 55:11 (AMP)==>“So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

Unlike man, God is not flippant with words; rather HE is a deliberate God Who says what HE’ll do, Who does exactly what HE says.

>Numbers 23:19 (AMP)==>“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?”

HE does not lie. HE can never ever lie!. He is not man, who is limited in his capability. God has the ability and the capacity to deliver on HIS promise. HE will make good HIS word to you.

HE didn’t call Israel to seek HIM in vain. HE speaks the truth and performs HIS truthful word.

>Isaiah 45:19 (NIV)==>“I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.”

Jesus said in John 14:1-2(AMP)==>1)“Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. 2)In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.”

If the above scripture were not so, Jesus would never have voiced it. HE is worthy of your trust. Believe everything HE says; for it shall surely happen as HE has promised.

>Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)==>“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

FAITHFUL IS HE WHO HAS PROMISED WHO WILL ALSO DO IT!
