Word Study for Today: The Book of Psalm Chapter 57.
Devotion: HOW GREAT IS THE LORD.
Text: 2 Samuel 7:18-29. | Psalm 104:1-35. | Exodus 14:1-31.

Everything about GOD is Great. >2 Samuel 7:22 (NLT)==>“How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!”

>Psalm 48:1 (AMP)==>“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, In the city of our God, His holy mountain.”

Of a truth there is no one like our God. He is great and does great things. His Person and His ability confers this greatness on Him. Greatness is Who He is, and by that undeniable truth, all that He does and orchestrates are great. There is no other God in His class. His deeds are unmatched by none. >“O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.”[Psalms 92:5 NLT]. >Daniel 9:15a (NET)==>““Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with great power and made a name for yourself that is remembered to this day…”

>Psalm 66:3 (NIV)==>“Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.”

By the greatness of His power He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, delivering them from the tyranny of a stubborn and stiff necked king.

The song comes to mind:

?How great is our God

how great is His Name

He’s the greatest of all

forever the same

He rolled back the waters

of the mighty red sea

And He said I will lead you

put your trust in Me. ?

Beloved, you can bank on this great God and His greatness. Put your trust Him, because He will never fail. The greatness of His power caused His enemies to cringe before Him; as in the enemies had no choice than to willingly submit[ without a lift of His finger]. >“We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.”[Joshua 2:10-11 NIV].

The fighting courage of the other nations failed them just because of the demonstrations of the greatness of the Lord our God, the God of Israel. He reveals and does great things because of the depth of His greatness. Our God is not a mere God. David said in >I Chronicles 17:19 (NKJV)==>“O LORD, for Your servant’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.”

Go ahead and >“…Ascribe greatness to our God.”[Deuteronomy 32:3 NKJV]

>“Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to [the abundance of] His greatness.”[Psalm 150:2 AMP]

ABUNDANTLY AND EXCELLENTLY GREAT IS OUR GOD.

Prayer Action:
-Praise God, our great God.
-Pray in the great language of the Spirit for 15minutes.
-Ascribe greatness to the Lord God Almighty[tell of His wondrous and great works]; praise Him deliberately.
-Cry to the great God to FIGHT FOR YOU! >“…the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.”==>Exodus 14:25 NKJV
