Word Study For Today: The Book Of Psalms Chapter 38.
Devotion: LEFT OVER.
Text: Matthew 14:13-21. | Luke 9:10-17. | 2Kings 4:42-44.
In >2 Kings 4:43a(NIV)==>“How can I set this before a hundred men?” his servant asked.
The servant of the man of God just like the servant of Jesus couldn’t see the possibility feeding 100 men with just 20 barley loaves of bread. This was the same position with the disciples of Jesus in >Matthew 14:15-17 (NIV)==>15)“As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” 16)Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” 17)“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.”
The disciples couldn’t figure out how to serve the multitude of people with just 5 loaves and two fish. What can the small quantity of loaves do amongst the large number of persons on ground? Obviously ridiculous, the disciples must have thought.
Psalm 37:18-19(NLT) says ==>18)“Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. 19)They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough.”
What is not enough in your hand today, is becoming more than enough.
The Lord had said to Elisha… >2 Kings 4:43b (NIV)==>“Elisha answered, “Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the Lord says: ‘They will eat and have some left over.’ ””
In Joel 2:26(AMP), hear God say to you >““You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the LORD your God Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.”
Shame [of not enough, small, inadequate, few, lack and its likes] shall be taken away. Jesus was not stranded, neither was Elisha. Beloved you will not be stranded. >2 Corinthians 9:8 (NLT)==>“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
The disciples of Jesus who had only 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, as well as Elisha who had only 20 loaves to feed a whole lot people recorded left-over according to word of the Lord.
The Lord Almighty shall yet be generous to you and yours too, He will provide all that you need, you will have everything you need and there shall be plenty left over to the point that you will share with others. What is not enough today suddenly shall become more than enough. THERE SHALL BE LEFT OVER!
**Praise God for His wondrous works.
**Pray in the Spirit for 15 minutes.
**Consciously give thanks to the Lord of provision, the God of more than enough[bring to His remembrance the times He had shown up for you in the midst of lack and even in the midst of much]. Thank Him appreciably.
**Present to God in prayer your areas of lack, shortage, few and not enough; ask that He brings you into plenty, more than enough and left over.
**Thank Him again for what you see that will happen even now.
