Word Study For Today: The Book Of Proverbs Chapter 11.

Devotion:  MY GOD,  MY TEACHER!

Text: Exodus 4:1-17. | Mark 4:1-2; Matthew 5:16. | John 14:25-26.

God is a teacher, Jesus a teacher, Holy Spirit a teacher. The Three in one teaches. >“Exodus 4:15b (NKJV)==>…I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.”

>Matthew 23:8b (NKJV)==> “…One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

>John 14:26 (NKJV)==>“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

To teach is to impart knowledge, give instruction, inform, enlighten, discipline, drill, school, indoctrinate, coach. A teacher is the one who instructs. The essence of teaching is basically for knowledge. You are taught that you may know, or know better.

The God head says >“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.[Psalms 32:8 NKJV].

>Deuteronomy 4:36a (NKJV)==>“Out of heaven He let you hear His voice, that He might instruct you…”

That’s God for you. He will not leave you to yourself. He instructs, He informs, He guides; all so you will not grope in the dark and be left not knowing what to do. It is God’s great delight to teach His creation. “For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.”[Psalms 103:14 NLT].

Our God knows we are but mere dust, therefore He takes it upon Himself to teach us His will(just what He wants of us)> “He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will.”[Psalms 25:9 GNB].

“Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, And teach out of Your law,”[Psalms 94:12 NKJV]. Having God instruct you, guide you, inform you and teach you, positions you as one who is blessed. If the One Who knows it all teaches you, that’s much more than you having the syllabus of a subject inputted or implanted in your brain. No wonder scripture says in Isaiah 28:26 (ESV)== >“For he is rightly instructed; his God teaches him.”

When God teaches you, you are rightly instructed. That’s why another version (NLT) of Isaiah 28:26 says this way => “The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding.”

When God is your teacher, you will just know what to do. He gives you understanding(a clue); you just know. This is really exciting and awesome. GOD YOUR TEACHER.

“Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths…”[Isaiah 2:3 NKJV].

Even the disciples of Jesus said to Him ‘teach us…’ >Luke 11:1 (NKJV)==>“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.””

“It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.”[John 6:45 NKJV].

Not only will you be taught by God but the bible says even your children God will teach them. >“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.”[Isaiah 54:13 NKJV].

Our God is Our Teacher!

Scripture says > Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.”[Psalms 25: 12 NKJV]

The big question is DO YOU FEAR GOD? Do you live in reverence and absolute regard of Him? The One you don’t believe in cannot commit Himself unto you, teaching you and instructing you. In Exodus 4:11-12 (NKJV)==>11)“So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? 12)Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.””

GOD YOUR TEACHER.

If only you will open up to Him today and say as written in Psalms 27:11 & 86:11(NKJV)==> Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.”

Psalms

“Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.”

Say to Him in the words of Psalms 25:4-5(NKJV)==> 4)“Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. 5)Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Then will GOD YOUR TEACHER say >”…I will teach you what you shall do.” [Exodus 4:15 NKJV]

Prayer Action:

-Offer up Praises to the Teacher.

-Pray for 15 minutes in the tongue the Teacher best understands.

-Pray according to [Psalms 25:4-5; 27:11 & 86:11(NKJV)==> 4)“Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. 5)Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.”

Psalms

“Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.”]. PRAY FERVENTLY TO YOUR TEACHER.
