Word Study For Today: The Book Of Psalm Chapter 112

Texts: Mark 4:35-41. | Romans 14:17-19; Galatians 5:22. | Jeremiah 29:11.

From the heart of a loving Father to His creation, flows the gentle river of peace.

As earthly parents, we all love our children to be free from turmoil, stress and anxiety.

In the same way, and even beyond our thoughts and imagination, the Lord Almighty has concerning us, thoughts of PEACE. In Him, no thought of evil is found against us.  >Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)==>For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”▪️

No genuine and loving father wants his children troubled, hence God is after PEACE in our lives, for He Himself is Peace, as Gideon discovered >“And Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the Lord is peace”)…[Judges 6:24NLT]▪️

Scriptures says in Ephesians 2:14a >“For He Himself is our peace…▪️

Therefore He speaks >Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.”[Isaiah 57:19 ESV].▪️

God is spewing Himself out by speaking to us, Peace, both to those near and those far. >“For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you shall nurse, you shall be carried upon her hip, and bounced upon her knees.”[Isaiah 66:12ESV]▪️

Peace as the flowing river that brings with it tranquility and quietness, such is the peace the Lord speaks into our lives.

Remember beloved, for the sake of our peace He suffered, the price of peace was laid upon Him [the PEACE Himself].

>“He was wounded for our rebellious acts. He was crushed for our sins. He was punished so that we could have peace, and we received healing from his wounds. ”[Isaiah 53:5 GW]▪️

Ever wondered what it cost the Father to give up His Son for us- His only begotten Son?

That sure is such a huge price to pay. Since He paid the price, Jehovah has appointed, hence apportioned peace unto us. >“Lord, You will ordain peace for us, for You also have done all our works for us.”[Isaiah 26:12 MEV]▪️

Sciptures says >“Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him.”[Numbers 25:12 NIV]▪️

>“Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. ”[Ezekiel 37:26KJV]▪️>“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed,…my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. ”[Isaiah 54:10 ESV]▪️

That is huge!. That is heavy-duty!.

What a security we have in God. What an assurance that cannot be thwarted. God covenanting Himself unto us, [for He is Peace and moreso, He is our Peace]. He says the covenant of peace He has with us is an everlasting one, hence it cannot be removed.

Within this covenant, we are assured of peace even on the home front. >Isaiah 32:18 (MEV)==)“My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation and in secure dwellings and in quiet resting places;”▪️>“You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss. ”[Job 5:24NKJV]▪️

>“Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces. ”[Psalms 122:7 NKJV]▪️

There exists however, a group of people who willfully excluded themselves from this covenant of peace- they are the ones who the Bible refers to as ‘The wicked’.

Only unto this ones has the Lord said there shall be no peace. >Isaiah 48:22 (MEV)==>“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”▪️

As for you, whatever be the storm in your life, >“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”[Mark 4:39 NKJV]▪️

Peace and tranquility shall be the order of your days. >The LORD lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you peace [a tranquil heart and life].’”[Numbers 6:26 AMP]▪️

>“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”[John 14:27 KJV]▪️

Allow no fear, licence no trouble in your borders.

>Psalms 29:11 (NKJV)==>The LORD will bless His people with PEACE.”
