Word Study for Today: The Book of Psalm Chapter 16
Devotion. SPIRITUAL GPS
Text: Exodus 4:10-12 | Isaiah 50:4-7 | Psalm 143:8

Of a truth, times have become different. Over and over again God has said, it’s time for victory. It’s time to phase out hindrances and take possession of what the Lord has purposed and ordained to do in your life.

Remember this profound spiritual truth, ‘the fault will never be with God, but with man’. God is such a covenant keeping God, what He says He will do, that exactly is what He will do, [only man shifts position].

The meekest, yet greatly accomplished man that ever lived, was once timid. He never saw himself from the eye of God, never looked through the mirror of destiny to see what God had ordained to work out in, and through his life. Rather, (perhaps) because of his past encounter in [Exodus 2:11-15], he wanted to settle for mediocrity as against an extraordinary life of victory.

Exodus 4:10 NKJV > “Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

Not having a clue as to how to step into a victorious life (as promised), is not a crime; but staying so, and giving excuses why it must remain so, is a colossal shame. It is one of the keys the enemy introduces to keep you away from the actualisation of God’s plan for your life.

Wake up! It’s a different season now. Stop putting your ‘left foot’ first. In the era of victory, you can’t sit content with the posing challenges or obstacles.

David in I Chronicles, had just been made king over the entire Israel, a promise he had long waited and battled for; he was exuberant knowing it’s time for victory, but just then another challenge, (a seeming hindrance) reared it’s ugly head- the Philistines came after him to launch an attack. He knew not what to do [but as earlier mentioned, ‘not knowing what to do is not a crime’]. David, took the right step >I Chronicles 14:10 NKJV==> “And David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” The LORD said to him, “Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.”

David turned to the One Who has the code for the victory season; he asked Him what the line of action should be.

His encounter, Isaiah puts it this way in chapter 50:4-5==> “The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned. The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away.”

God will not delay in His response. He knows you do not know how, hence if you would turn to Him to inquire and learn, He sure will show you the game plan. Early on the journey, He’d awaken your ear to hear the action plan, He will put His words in your mouth as He promised Moses. Do not be like Moses, who initially rebelled against God’s mapped out route (plan).

Isaiah 50:7==>““For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.”

You will be greatly helped of God, in this season of victory. The Psalmist trusted in the help of God, hence in Psalm 143:8,  he cried out to God==> “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.”

His help will show the way, the path, the action, the step to navigate unto victory.

When He leads you as He led David, you cannot be ashamed (shame is not part of the deal). God’s help will give you tremendous courage,  causing you to set your face like a flint (unshaken and determined to go all the way) to accomplish victory.

Prayer Action:
