Word Study For Today: The Book Of Psalm Chapter 48

Texts: Ruth 1:6-18; 2:1-12; 4:13. | Genesis 8:22. | Galatians 6:7-10.

In life, there are certain laws or decrees that are unchangeable, it doesn’t matter who engages them; rich or poor, bond or free. Moreso, the Unchangeable God made them this way.

SEEDTIME AND HARVEST are one of such decrees that cannot be altered [especially by man]. >“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.””[Genesis 8:22 NKJV].

By implication, this means when  you sow, you reap. (Whatever you sow, you are bound to reap). This law is no respecter of type of seed. The Bible says in >Galatians 6:7(AMP)==>“[He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.”

Humans are usually evasive, sly, deceitful and artfully cunny: though knowing fully the consequence of their actions, yet they are not ready to take full responsibility for same.

When God says something, He means it to the letter. ’Whatever’ means what so ever… it doesn’t matter what your seed is; once you sow it, the harvest of same is what you reap in return. Job said >As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it. ” [Job 4:8 NIV].

Also, you cannot sow the seed of Pawpaw, and reap (harvest) orange; neither can the orange seed produce the fruit of grapes. It is impossible. The DNA of your seed produces after its kind. By the foregoing, the seed of love can only but harvest love. Sowing the seed of love and harvesting hatred is an anomaly.

>I John 4:7(NKJV)==>“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.”

When you love, you are producing according to the Kind that brought you forth >John 3:16 (NKJV)==> “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…

God sowed love and He’s harvesting love in return.

>I John 4:19 (NKJV)==> “We love Him because He first loved us.”

Scripture says >Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, Who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey.”[Isaiah 32:20NKJV].

Beloved of God, sow your seed of love beside all waters (seed love to all lives, no discrimination, not only to the highs nor to the lows; and not even to the average; but let your love be to all). You will reap it. When you love, love will come back to you. People you know or do not know will love you. Hate will fast become alien to your person.

>Ecclesiastes 11:6 (NIV)==>“Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.” >>> Love always, love at all times. >Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NKJV)==>“He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.”

As you keep on sowing love in and out of season to all men, you create for yourself a continuous inflow of love in your life. Make love a lifestyle not just a vogue [for one vogue will go extinct and another vogue will evolve].

>Proverbs 11:17 (NKJV)==>“The merciful man does good for his own soul, But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.”

It is to your good that you love others. Loving others is like loving yourself because it will come back to you; remember the saying- “what goes around, comes around”. The act of love relieves you of the stress and pain of having many enemies to deal with. Your seed of love will surely provoke a burst of love harvest; you shall be the very first partaker of the produce of your love seed.

>2 Timothy 2:6 (NIV)says ==> The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.”

It might not be convenient to sow love, especially into some lives [perhaps because of what they have done or what they currently are doing to you], yet go ahead and sow. Observe not the wind, never mind the sacrifice of swallowing up your right and loving them, >Psalm 126:5-6 (NIV) clearly says==> 5)“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. 6)Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.”

Don’t be miserly with your love. Seed an avalanche of love.

>“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

[II Corinthians 9:6 NKJV]

Sow love, not hatred… hatred is the harvest of the seed of hate >Hosea 10:13a (NIV)==>“But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception…

The Law of sowing guarantees a return of harvest; and Love is the harvest of love sown. SOW! Sow love.

Prayer Action:

-Praise God, Praise God, with your song.

-Speak the language of God for 15 minutes.

-Ask the Lord for grace to be a farmer, sowing [all year round, day in day out], the seed of love.

-Pray that as you sow love, you as the farmer shall reap a bountiful harvest of love.

-Ask that the Lord will use your love seed to eradicate hatred in and around you, and even beyond.
