Word Study For Today: The Book of Deuteronomy 28:1-68.

Texts: Read A Whole Chunk of Psalm 119.

God Himself is unreachable. Who can know His end? Who even knows His mind save His Spirit? His Word is like Him…There are many sides to His Word. >“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.[Psalms 119:105 NLT]▪️

God’s Word is a lamp, an illuminator of paths, and an illumination to your very own path. By His Word, you can stumble like one who gropes in dark. Through the instrumentality of His Word, light is shed in dark or gray areas(situations and circumstances). Clarity comes where confusion existed prior. >“The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.”[Psalms 119:130 NKJV]▪️Understanding is the superior power of discernment; the Word of God confers that on you when you embrace it. Such an an illuminating light God’s Word is.

Scripture says in James 1:22 (TPT)==>“Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!”▪️

Extended verses (23-25)of James 1:22, says in (NKJV)==>22)“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23)For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24)for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25)But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

God’s Word is not for mere reading or hearing. It is expedient as Apostle James admonished, be a doer of God’s Word. Have you observed that God Himself is a Doer? [Action based God]. You need to act on God’s Word for it to be beneficial for you. If you merely read or hear His Word without acting it out, you are leaving in self deception[an act of deliberately personally misleading ones self and others by putting up a false appearance]. Selah. To be a doer of God’s Word is to sign up for God’s blessing. You want to be blessed? Take note of this aspect of God’s Word [it requires a doing].

Let the Word of God excite you always; take delight in it. Value it it, cherish it, much more than material things that most people crave for. Rejoice like the Psalmist when you discover His Word. Don’t be indifferent or cold and un-receptive to God’s Word, beloved get excited at God’s Word >Psalms 119:162 (NLT)says ==>“I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.”

Friend THERE’S SO MUCH HIS WORDS. Imagine even your faith building is dependent on God’s Word. How much of His Word do you hear and yet hear again. Hearing is Word is whistle to faith. Faith responds to God’s Word; it comes by the hearing God’s Word. >Romans 10:17 (NKJV)==>“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”▪️ Hopefully you would have noticed that as human beings we must hear something… If you aren’t hearing God’s Word which impacts on your faith, then you will hear the word of the devil which of cause breeds fear. Choose you this day which Word you will hear and hear and hear and hear over and over again [certainly not the devil’s word].

>Psalms 119:43 (NLT), the Psalmist prayed==>“Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.”

Beloved, you need to emulate same. Without God’s Word, hopelessness sets in hence you can’t afford God snatching His Word from you. God’s Word is the your spirit’s stable meal. To have His Word snatched is like snatching bone from a dog. God’s Word is rich in vitamins that keeps the spirit going.  Truly and truly, THERE’S SO MUCH TO HIS WORD.
