Word Study For Today: The Book Of Psalm Chapter 98.

Text: Matthew 25:1-28. | Luke 16:1-12. | Job 31:37; Ecclesiastes 11:9.

Being accountable to our creator is by all means, a non-negotiable reality, being His handiwork. Everyone created is accountable to the Creator. Accountability is the state of being answerable. As good stewards of heaven’s resources, we owe God the responsibility of accounting for all He’s entrusted in our care.

None in existence is at the instance of himself or herself, we all are here by God’s design, plan and intent. >“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable. ”[Hebrews 4:13NLT]▪️

On this earthly assignment, you didn’t send yourself on it, you didn’t gift yourself for it, nor can you sustain yourself in it. Rather, every of such is as orchestrated and designed by God. If that be true, you are liable and accountable therefore to Him. > “Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”[Romans 14:12 NLT]▪️

God is not a waster, every of His resource committed shall be tracked at the end of the day. He doesn’t just give gifts away, He is a shrewd business man. (His every investment matters and counts for something); therefore He will take account. He has His records; He is so very detailed with every details of your existence. >Matthew 10:30 (MSG)says ==> He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head!”▪️

No strand of hair can fall off without Him taking note. If God is this detailed, then beloved, we ought to wake up to realities, no more running riot, living like the wicked whom scriptures says in >Psalms 10:4(NET)==>“The wicked man is so arrogant he always thinks, “God won’t hold me accountable; he doesn’t care.”▪️

The wicked isn’t conscious of this, little wonder he takes lightly the things of God and even rejects Him. He is of the mindset that he will live through this earth and he has no responsibility of reporting his deeds to anyone. >Why does the wicked man reject God? He says to himself, “You will not hold me accountable.”[Psalms 10:4, 13NET]▪️

What a colossal error! O man, you are accountable to God for every deposit of His in your life, including revelations. > …we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions. ”[Deuteronomy 29:29b NLT]▪️

Like the parable of the Kingdom as found in Matthew Chapter 25, God has given unto each one of us, His gift, according to each one’s abilities… it is His own, and He has taken note of it. ▪️

>“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,”[Ephesians 4:11 NKJV]▪️>8)“for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9)to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10)to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.” [I Corinthians 12:8-10 NKJV]▪️

God is not confused nor unaware of what He dished out to each one. Our God is too articulate. He formed us and wired us for specific purposes with specific gifting. For each gift/investment, God demands accountability. We ought therefore to take note of what we have been given so we can be well accountable for each, when the owner comes to take account. Bible says in >I Peter 4:5(NKJV)==>“They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”

God surely is going to settle account with us. What would be your response in accounting for what has been bestowed (committed) to you? In Matthew 25:20,22,24-25 (NIV), each servant reported: ==> 20)“The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’” 22)“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’ 24)“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25)So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’”▪️

The servant with one bag of gold, completely missed the point when he went on to say the owner of gold seeks gains where he hasn’t scattered. That’s a completely inane statement. If he has committed it to you, that already qualifies as an investment, of which He should expect returns. God has committed (bestowed) so much unto us, we can’t afford to give excuses when He comes for His account.

We should work towards declaring like Job did > “I would give him an account of my every step; I would present it to him as to a ruler. [Job 31:37 NIV]▪️You will need to give an account of your every step. >…Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. ”[Ecclesiastes 11:9b NLT]▪️

Our goals must be to hear the Master say at check point >‘Good work! You did your job well. From now on be my partner.’ [Matthew 25:19-21 MSG]▪️
