Word Study For Today: The Book of Psalms Chapter 26.
Text: Matthew 6:25-34. | Psalm 68:18-20. | 1 Peter:5:7.
Worry not says the Lord. Stop suffering from disturbing thoughts; do not fret. Succumb not to allowing yourself to be tormented with cares and anxieties or trouble. Torment is a state of great bodily or mental suffering/pain; and that is exactly what happens to you when you allow worry to set in. There are a thousand and one things or reasons that crop up inside seeking a hounding thought. Give in not to this kind of thoughts is what the Lord is saying in Matthew 6:25,28,31,&34==> ““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 28)“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 31)“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear 34)Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Worrying to the extent of being tormented by what to wear, what to eat, what to drink; and when there’s nothing else more to give thought to, the thought of what tomorrow holds also is added to it. I wonder why flesh finds worry as a buddy. Worry is wrecking > Proverbs 12:25a (NLT)==> “Worry weighs a person down… [it destroys the fabric of stability]; It paralyses productivity.
Worry is torment, hence Ecclesiastes 11:10a says in (NLT)==>“So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy.
KEEP YOUR BODY HEALTHY.
David says in Psalms 37:1, 7 (NLT)==>1) “Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. 7)Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” To Ruth Boaz said >Ruth 3:11 (NLT)==> “Now don’t worry about a thing, my daughter. I will do what is necessary, for everyone in town knows you are a virtuous woman.”
Hear this day in the words of 1 Peter 5:7 (GNB)==>“Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you.” LEAVE ALL WORRIES WITH GOD; afterall, >Psalms 68:19b NET)==> says Day after day He carries our burden, the God who delivers us.”
Therefore beloved take heed to >Philippians 4:6 (NLT)==>“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING!
**Worship the Lord that calms all fears.
**Pray in the language of the Spirit for 15minutes [it soothes and dispels worries].
**Pray to the Lord Who daily carries your burden [talk to God about your concerns… be sincere with Him, rend your thoughts at His feet].
**Worry proof your heart as you mediate on God’s word this day and everyday.
