In addition to various definitions of impact, we can say that impact gives illumination. It then follows that your light will cause gentiles to come to you. It will cause people of influence to gravitate towards you. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works…” this also means- STOP HOARDING INFORMATION!, especially information about something good and beneficial to others, whatever is within your power.

☆KEY TEXTS: MATT 5 VS 14-16, ISAIAH 60 VS 3 and RUTH 2 VS 11

Even in the gifts that the Lord has given to you- sharing an idea with someone can just be the light bulb moment for that person, for his/her next level.

The most interesting part of this whole equation is that, that person’s outcome and yours will turn out differently.

DON’T HOARD, MAKE IMPACT!

Impact is also something that gives glory to God. Never allow anything happen to you in life that will make you abrogate glory to yourself. In everything you do, give glory to God.

Let’s look at the story of Mordecai.

From time immemorial, we have heard so much emphasis, encomiums, and accolades showered on Esther, and that is great on one hand. But have we stopped to look at the character, the man of impact and influence in her life- the man Mordecai? He was the uncle of Esther.

He took up and raised Esther. He made such great impact in the life of Esther that when it became time to pick a new Queen, her character stood her out!

ESTHER’S STERLING QUALITIES:

She had Etiquette, she was Contented, Obedient, Humble, Submissive, and we could go on and on. This issue of etiquette is so sensitive that it can make anyone fall from the highest heights to the lowest of lows. Fortunately, Esther had learnt etiquette from Mordecai!

Mordecai is the “Caregiver, the Influence, Groom and the Impact behind Esther”. If Mordecai wasn’t good, it would have shown in the life of Esther.

Esther 2 vs 10-11

Even though Esther was an adult, she wasn’t trying to gain freedom before she became the Queen. She was still in collaboration with her uncle, even when she gained entrance into the King’s presence.

This presupposes that we should honour the people God uses for our lives. If you trash the ladder with which God helped you to rise, you will fall. Give honour to whom honour is due!

Esther didn’t become full of herself, she didn’t forget her roots. All of these says something profound, which is that- Mordecai carries weight in the life of Esther.

Esther’s story will be incomplete without the mention of Mordecai. So, may I ask- “Who’s story will be incomplete without the mention of you?” Who is going to bed thanking God for your life? Do you want to rise? Impact someone’s life today!

I decree and declare that our lives will count, and will matter. We will not become full of ourselves because of what God is using us to do in people’s lives, in Jesus name. Amen.
